At the heart of every successful vacation rental, there is a kitchen designed to be both welcoming and functional to the needs of their guests.
Fitting your kitchen to the level of your guest’s expectations can be a daunting project. Depending on the approach you decide to take, I have come up with some key essential planning tips and a list to help you with stocking the basics.

Organisation & Planning
Your budget will determine how extravagant you can be with incorporating luxury items, but you definitely won’t regret splurging on a few kitchen must-haves.
- Plenty of space for pantry storage items. Tall cupboards are a far better option.
- Use every part of the space with corner cabinets and pull-out shelves.
- Extra-deep drawers to store pots and pans.
- Open shelving for beautiful storage containers.
- Pull out spice racks.
- Extra wide and deep draws for good quality utensils.
- Organised holders for knives inside draws as against display holders. This helps from a cleanliness perspective.
- Alcoves for storing the toaster, kettle and coffee machine.
